Wolves Pursue Return of Striker Raul Jimenez

Raul Jimenez was among the goal scorers in Mexico's 5-1 victory over Serbia during their final World Cup warm-up match on Friday.

Wolves are currently engaged in discussions to re-sign the former striker on a free transfer.

Jimenez, aged 35, was named by Fulham on Monday as one of the players expected to depart the Premier League club upon the expiration of his contract at the end of this month.

Negotiations are reportedly underway regarding a potential return to Molineux, where Jimenez previously scored 57 goals in 166 appearances from 2018 to 2023.

His tally of 40 Premier League goals makes him Wolves' all-time top scorer in England's top division.

At present, Jimenez is on international duty with Mexico, the hosts of the World Cup, who will open their tournament campaign against South Africa on Thursday.

Wolves are aiming to rebuild their squad following a last-place finish in the Premier League last season, which resulted in relegation to the Championship.
