The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has initiated a formal investigation into a fatal Tesla crash that occurred on June 19 in Texas. The incident involved a Tesla vehicle that veered off the road and collided with a home.

According to local police reports, a woman inside the house sustained severe injuries and subsequently died. Authorities confirmed that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash. The driver stated that the Tesla was operating with an "automated driving assistance system" engaged during the incident.
