Additional Arrests in Alleged Jewish Site Arson Investigation
Counter-terrorism police have arrested two more individuals in connection with an alleged plan to commit arson at an unspecified site linked to the Jewish community. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 19-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were detained in Watford on Tuesday and remain in police custody.
In total, nine people have been arrested over the past three days as part of the ongoing investigation. The other seven individuals have been released on strict bail conditions, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Official Statement from Counter Terrorism Policing
Assistant Commissioner Vicki Evans, who serves as the senior national co-ordinator of Counter Terrorism Policing, provided a statement regarding the arrests:
"We are continuing to identify and arrest suspects who we believe were involved, or planning, the recent arson attacks in north-west London."
