Men Found Guilty of Brighton Beach Rape
Two men have been convicted of raping a woman on Brighton beach in what has been described as a "cynical, predatory and callous attack".
Abdulla Ahmadi, an Iranian national, and Ibrahim Alshafe, an Egyptian national, had denied repeatedly raping the woman during the early hours of 4 October.
Karin Al-Danasurt, also from Egypt, denied filming the assault but was found guilty of rape as a secondary party.
Ahmadi, aged 26, Alshafe, aged 25, and Al-Danasurt, aged 20, were convicted at Hove Crown Court.
During the trial, jurors heard that the victim was left "too scared to go out" following the attack.
At the time of the incident, the three men, who are asylum seekers, were residing at a Home Office hotel near Horsham.
