Fatal Crash in Upper Ballinderry

Two individuals have died following a collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Upper Ballinderry, County Antrim.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) reported receiving notification of the incident shortly before 18:00 BST on Saturday, occurring in the Glenavy Road area of the village.

Emergency services responded promptly; however, both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

"Another person was taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries," Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Detective Inspector Dave Stewart added.

The road was temporarily closed between the junctions of Soldierstown Road and Hammonds Road but has since been reopened.

Authorities have issued an appeal for any information or digital footage related to the incident to assist with their investigation.
