Fatal Pedestrian Incident on A92 Near Aberdeen

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a taxi on the A92 on the outskirts of Aberdeen during the early morning hours.

Police reported that the 41-year-old man was hit by a Ford people carrier just north of Murcar at approximately 03:10.

The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that a special operations team responded to the scene; however, the man was pronounced dead at the location.

Police Scotland has issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

"Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died and we're offering them support at this difficult time.

It's vital we find out exactly what happened and I'm appealing for the public's help."
