Investigation Launched Following Discovery of Unresponsive Man in Gwynedd Sea

A coroner's inquest has been opened and adjourned in relation to the death of a man found unresponsive in the sea at Bermo beach in Gwynedd.

The police initiated a homicide investigation following the death of Ruhul Amin Nana, a teacher from Birmingham, on 25 May.

He was brought ashore and then taken to a lifeboat station, where his death was confirmed by a paramedic shortly before 17:00 on the bank holiday Monday.

Mr. Nana was 34 years old, born in India, and his body was formally identified by a family member.

A 24-year-old man from the Birmingham area was arrested in connection with the death but has since been released on bail.

Ongoing Homicide Inquiry in Gwynedd After Body Found in Sea

Coroner Kate Robertson stated following a post-mortem examination that further investigation is required to determine the cause of death.

"There is reasonable cause to suspect that the death was unnatural," she said during the hearing in Caernarfon.

The inquest has been adjourned while North Wales Police continue their investigations.

The police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with photos or videos who was present on the beach that day to come forward and contact them.
