Police are seeking information following an incident where a motorbike was deliberately set on fire inside a block of flats located in Kilsyth, North Lanarkshire.

The event occurred at approximately 22:45 on Thursday within the common close area of the building on Rennie Road.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service responded promptly to extinguish the fire. As a safety measure, residents of the flats were evacuated during the operation.

Police Appeal and Safety Concerns

Detective Constable Gamberi commented on the incident, emphasizing the potential risks involved.

"Luckily no-one was injured as a result, but this could've easily spread throughout the flat and caused significant damage."

Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist the police investigation.
