Recovery of Teenage Boy's Body in Leicestershire Lake
Rescue teams engaged in the search for a teenage boy who entered a lake in Leicestershire have recovered his body.
Police received reports at 13:30 BST on Thursday that a teenage boy had entered Meynell Lake, located off Fosse Way in Syston.
On Friday, police divers located and recovered a body, which was confirmed to be that of the teenager who had entered the lake.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police stated that the boy's family is receiving support from officers and added:
"There is no suggestion of any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner. Naming will be a matter for the coroner."
