Trial Date Set for Tyler Ford
A two-week trial has been scheduled for Tyler Ford, a world champion kickboxer, to commence on 11 January 2027.
Ford appeared at Swansea Crown Court on Tuesday, where he faces charges related to the death of Ceiran Evans, an 18-year-old from Gorseinon, who died in a road crash.
Tyler Ford, also 18, has been a nine-time world kickboxing champion and is additionally charged with the attempted murder of another individual.
During the brief administrative hearing, Ford, a teenager from Morriston, Swansea, confirmed his name but was not required to enter any pleas.
Judge Paul Thomas KC scheduled a plea and case management hearing for 29 September and confirmed that the trial would last two weeks starting 11 January 2027.
Remanding Ford into custody, the judge stated:
"The next hearing will be September 29 and the defendant will of course remain in custody."
Details of the Incident
Ceiran Evans died following a fatal collision between a car and an off-road bike on Pen Cae Crwn Road in Gorseinon, Swansea, at approximately 13:00 BST on 9 July.

Evans' family paid tribute to him, describing him as having a "kind heart, wicked sense of humour" and a "loving nature."
South Wales Police has appealed for witnesses or anyone with video footage of the incident to come forward and contact the force.
