After months of rumours and speculation, superstar couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially married at New York's Madison Square Garden.
The announcement was made public on Friday evening by Swift's publicist, coinciding with giant screens outside the arena displaying the message: "JUST&T MARRIED!"
Swift, recognized as the world's leading pop star, and Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion, became engaged last August. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited details about the wedding's timing, location, and nature.
While many specifics remain confidential, the following information has been confirmed.
Adam Sandler officiated
In her song "Wi$h Li$t" from her latest album, Swift imagines a future with Kelce, including "a couple kids" and "a driveway with a basketball hoop." This song draws inspiration from Adam Sandler's character in the 1996 film Happy Gilmore.
Swift explained to Apple Music's Zane Lowe,
"He has this happy place where he goes into... This is where he escapes to mentally in times of stress, pressure, anxiety or chaos. And that chorus of that song is me just describing what my happy place is."
Kelce also made a cameo in the 2023 sequel to Happy Gilmore, making Sandler's role as the wedding officiant fitting.
According to TMZ, Sandler reprised his role from The Wedding Singer by performing a "humorous yet touching" song during the ceremony on Friday.

Sandler has previously spoken about his friendship with the couple, telling Entertainment Tonight last year,
"Taylor's so damn nice to my family and has always been. She's ridiculously nice to them and warm, and Travis is such a gentle, nice guy. Funny as hell. He's like the guys I grew up with."
The idea to hold the wedding at Madison Square Garden may have been inspired by Sandler's 2002 film Mr Deeds, where his character takes over the venue to propose.
Regarding Sandler's qualifications, any adult can apply for a One-Day Marriage Officiant License in New York State to legally conduct a marriage ceremony.
Taylor and Travis wore Dior
Although no photographs of the wedding dress have been released, the designer has been confirmed.
Swift's spokeswoman stated on Friday,
"The bride and groom's wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women's, Men's and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer's first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity."
Jonathan Anderson, from Northern Ireland and former creative director at Loewe, assumed his role at Dior last year.
Dior released a statement expressing delight in creating the wedding attire for Taylor and Travis, crafted in Dior's ateliers at 30 Avenue Montaigne, Paris, in close collaboration with the couple.
Swift has previously worn Dior, including a tartan outfit at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Additionally, the couple's shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin, and Swift wore Cartier jewelry, according to her publicist.
Louboutin has a longstanding association with Swift, having designed footwear for the European leg of her Eras Tour.
Man of honour instead of maid of honour
Swift chose her brother Austin as her man of honour rather than a traditional maid of honour.
Austin, 34, two years younger than Taylor, is an actor and film producer. Swift has described him as "one of my best pals."

Travis's brother, Jason Kelce, a podcast co-host and fellow US football player, served as best man.
Swift did not include bridesmaids, and Travis similarly did not have groomsmen, as confirmed by her spokeswoman.
Star-studded guest list
Approximately 1,000 guests attended, including prominent figures from music, film, and sports.
Attendees included Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Hugh Grant, Gracie Abrams, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellie Goulding, Graham Norton, Dakota Johnson, and Steven Spielberg.

Many guests arrived and departed discreetly, avoiding media and photographers.
Other rumored attendees included Sabrina Carpenter, Jennifer Lawrence, Lana Del Rey, Lena Dunham, Emma Stone, the Haim sisters, Sir Paul McCartney, Zoe Kravitz, Stevie Nicks, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Greta Gerwig.
Guests were likely instructed not to share details or photos. Rapper Nelly posted on Instagram, writing,
"S/O [shout out] to @taylorswift & @killatrav..!! Wedding was incredible."
BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James, who was invited live on his show, wrote on Instagram on Saturday,
"Just&t to say: true to her word, of course the invitation arrived and of course I couldn't tell anyone. And oh my god, what an unbelievably brilliant night."
What happened inside Madison Square Garden?
Screens outside Madison Square Garden displayed the message "JusT&T married!" during the event.
Details of the evening remain mostly confidential, though some information has surfaced.
Hosts of the US TV program Good Morning America, who attended, confirmed that Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks performed.
Co-host George Stephanopoulos described the event as "as intimate as it could possibly be given it was Madison Square Garden," adding,
"It was just so beautiful. It's hard to imagine that a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and so intimate."
Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Theatres, wrote in a now-deleted post on X that the venue was transformed into "an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat," with Kelce in a white tuxedo and Swift in "a stunning white wedding dress with a long veiled train."
A guest who spoke to described the night as "incredible," saying,
"They cried, and they laughed and they danced, and they hugged and they kissed."
An insider told TMZ that Swift walked down the aisle to one of her songs played on strings, and the decor was described as "Alice in Wonderland meets The Wizard of Oz."
In the days leading up to the event, elaborate sets were seen being loaded into Madison Square Garden, including a large glitterball, a white staircase railing, and items labeled "garden party."
Though the choice of Madison Square Garden raised some eyebrows, the venue's iconic status as a crossroads of music and sport, and its interior privacy from paparazzi and drones, likely influenced the decision.
