Gerwyn Price Claims Victory in Manchester
Gerwyn Price secured his first nightly win since week two in Antwerp by delivering an impressive performance in Manchester. The Welsh player averaged 105.84 during the evening and defeated Gian van Veen 6-2 in the final. This victory marked Price's second nightly win of the Premier League campaign and elevated him to second place in the standings.
Van Veen and Littler Clash in Quarter-Finals
The most notable incident of the night occurred during the quarter-final match between Gian van Veen and Luke Littler. Van Veen narrowly defeated Littler 6-5 in a thrilling contest. In the deciding leg, Van Veen missed double 15 for the match and turned his head in disappointment, observing Littler celebrating the missed opportunity.
This celebration prompted an angry reaction from Van Veen, who gestured for Littler to continue. Littler subsequently missed two additional match darts and then made a 'cry-baby' gesture towards the crowd. Van Veen maintained his composure and secured victory by hitting double six. The players exchanged a brief handshake before Littler left the stage.

Van Veen Responds to the Incident
"From my perspective, I missed the double 15 and I was fuming with myself that I missed, and I looked around and he was celebrating that I missed," Van Veen told Sky Sports.
"That was out of order. I was fuming about that.
"He probably saw it and then he missed three darts at double seven and then he looked at me like I was the problem and I was like 'I don't know what I've done wrong because you're celebrating me missing'.
"I thought that was out of order. He missed and then I took it out and he's probably fuming. That is darts and that is my perspective. His perspective is probably different, but that is it.
"I love Luke to bits. He's a fantastic player and guy for the sport and to see all the attention he's brought to it is phenomenal but this is also part of it as well and today was my day."
Luke Littler responded to Van Veen's comments on Instagram by posting laughing emojis and an image displaying the PDC titles he has won over the past two years.

Premier League Darts Format and Points System
The Premier League Darts competition spans 16 weeks in the league stage, with quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final held each night. Each of the eight players faces the other seven in the quarter-finals during weeks one to seven and nine to fifteen. Weeks eight and sixteen feature fixtures determined by the table standings, including a crucial fourth versus fifth match in Sheffield on the final league-stage night, which could influence play-off qualification.
Players earn two points for each quarter-final win, an additional point for winning the semi-final, and five points for winning the night. The top four players after the group stage advance to the play-off night at London's O2 Arena on 28 May. The semi-finals are best-of-19-leg matches, with first facing fourth and second playing third. The final is contested over the best of 21 legs.
If players are tied on points after 16 weeks, positions are decided first by nights won and then by matches won.
