London Pulse End Lightning's Unbeaten Run

London Pulse closed the gap at the summit of the Netball Super League table with a 75-71 victory over the previously unbeaten leaders, Loughborough Lightning. Prior to this match, Pulse's only defeat was a 68-61 loss to Lightning in mid-March during round three.

Both teams now share identical records of nine wins and one loss. However, Loughborough Lightning maintain a narrow lead at the top of the table by a single bonus point, with four rounds remaining before the conclusion of the regular season and the commencement of the play-offs.

In the match, Lightning's Ella Clark scored an impressive 36 goals. Despite this, it was Pulse's Liv Tchine who had a commanding influence on the game, contributing 24 goals and eight rebounds to steer her team to victory.

Dragons secured their third win of the season with a close 65-64 triumph over Nottingham Forest. Georgia Rowe led the scoring for Dragons with 35 goals, helping her side complete the double over Forest, having previously beaten them away in round six.

Nottingham Forest's Rolene Streutker scored 31 goals but was unable to prevent the team from falling to defeat. Forest currently sit in fourth place.

London Mavericks, positioned fifth in the league, narrowed the gap to Nottingham Forest to six points following a 63-60 win against Leeds Rhinos. George Inger and Emily Andrew scored 27 and 22 goals respectively for Mavericks, who bounced back after a loss to Manchester Thunder last week.

Paige Reed was the top scorer for Leeds Rhinos with 20 goals. Rhinos remain seventh in the standings, having secured only one victory throughout the season.

On Monday, Manchester Thunder will host the bottom-placed Birmingham Panthers at 18:00 BST as part of the bank holiday weekend fixtures.
