US Women's Open Third Round Standings
After the third round at the US Women's Open, the leaderboard is led by S-Y Kim (Kor) and Nelly Korda (US) at six under par. They are closely followed by In-Gee Chun (Kor) and Jennifer Kupcho (US) at five under, with G. Lopez (Mex), N. Hataoka (Jpn), and R. Yin (Chn) at four under. Other notable players include Charley Hull (Eng) at three under, M. Stark (Swe) at two under, A. Thitikul (Tha) at one over, and L. Woad (Eng) at seven over.
Korda and Kim Share the Lead
World number one Nelly Korda recorded a four-under-par 67 in the third round, moving into a tie for the lead at six under. Playing at the Riviera Country Club in California, Korda made five birdies, three of which came on the final three holes, alongside one bogey.
Sei-Young Kim also posted a 68, with five birdies and two bogeys, joining Korda at the top of the leaderboard.
Hull's Impressive Surge
England's Charley Hull delivered the best round of the day with a seven-birdie, one-bogey 65, positioning herself three shots behind the leaders and firmly in contention.
"I kind of like chasing," Hull said. "I just find it more fun and I can then be free and then just play golf how I want to play golf."
Korda's Pursuit of First US Women's Open Title
The US Women's Open is the second of five major championships on the women's tour. Korda, who won the first major of the season at the Chevron Championship in April, is seeking her first US Women's Open victory in her 12th attempt. She finished tied for second in 2025.
"I think last year I really, really wanted it, and the more you want it sometimes, the more you stiffen up and you get a little bit more nervous," said Korda, who rebounded from a first-round 73 with two rounds of 67.
"I play my best golf when I'm happy, free Nelly, and I'm kind of joking around out there. So that's kind of the attitude that I'm going to have tomorrow [Sunday]."
Other Contenders
First-round leader Jennifer Kupcho is one shot behind the leaders at five under after shooting a 69 in the third round. In-Gee Chun also carded a 69 to share the five-under position.
"I can't control what anyone else is doing, so I'm just going to go out there and do my best and see how that matches up with them," said American Kupcho.
