Findlay Curtis Receives Maiden Scotland Squad Selection

Teenage winger Findlay Curtis of Kilmarnock has been unexpectedly named in Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for two upcoming friendly matches later this month.

The 19-year-old Curtis joined Kilmarnock on loan from Rangers in January after making 32 appearances during a notable first half of the season at Ibrox.

With Bournemouth's Ben Gannon-Doak sidelined due to injury and Scotland experiencing a shortage of options in wide attacking positions, Curtis has been given an opportunity to showcase his abilities as Clarke prepares the team for the World Cup finals in June.

Additionally, Wrexham centre-back Dominic Hyam and Middlesbrough striker Tommy Conway have been recalled to join a largely consistent squad for the friendlies against Japan at Hampden on 28 March and Ivory Coast in Liverpool three days later.

Everton right-back Nathan Patterson is also included in the squad, despite not featuring in Scotland's successful World Cup qualifying campaign last autumn due to injury.
