Yeremy Pino's Injury Raises Concerns for Spain's World Cup Campaign

Spain winger Yeremy Pino may be sidelined for the remainder of the World Cup after sustaining a suspected broken collarbone. Pino, who has made 24 appearances for Spain, was injured late in the match during Spain's 1-0 win over Uruguay on Saturday.

The injury occurred when Pino fell awkwardly on his left shoulder following a challenge. Despite the apparent pain, the Crystal Palace player continued to play until the final whistle, as Spain had already used all their allowed substitutions.

Spain's head coach Luis de la Fuente, who introduced Pino in the 66th minute, expressed concern about the injury's severity.

"It looks like Yeremy may have broken his collarbone," he said.
"Tomorrow they are going to do some tests and we will see how far the injury is.
"The man is suffering a lot and the effort he has made is tremendous, possibly with a broken collarbone to hold on until the end of the match... It has been heroic and I am very grateful, like all his team-mates."

A fractured collarbone would likely rule Pino out for the rest of the tournament, which is entering the knockout stages.

Spain finished top of Group H with seven points, securing a last-32 match scheduled for next Thursday in Los Angeles against either Austria or Algeria.
