Rangers' Rohl Confident in Title Challenge
Danny Rohl has expressed his "total" belief that Rangers can secure the Scottish Premiership title, emphasizing the need for his players to maintain "consistency" throughout the campaign.
Since Rohl assumed managerial duties in October, Rangers have accumulated 46 points out of a possible 57. Their recent 4-2 victory over Hearts last Sunday has brought the Ibrox club within two points of the league leaders.
However, Celtic remain close behind, trailing Rangers by a single point and possessing a game in hand over the top two teams.
"I totally believe we can do it," Rohl stated ahead of Sunday's league fixture against Livingston.
"There's no doubt about the strength of this squad now. It's now about consistency but we are still in second position not in the first position."
"The last couple of weeks was fantastic but I think it was a good statement.
We have to continue. We have to keep our intensity, I think this is crucial. We know these games you have to take a win because otherwise it makes no sense to win the game before."
John Souttar Commits Future to Rangers
On Thursday, Rangers announced that Scotland defender John Souttar has signed a new contract extending until the end of next season, with an option for an additional year.
"It's important that we have leaders, to continue with them, not just on the pitch but off the pitch," Rohl commented on Souttar, who is 29 years old.
"He leads the group. It's important to have a core together to build something around."
Team Updates Ahead of Livingston Match
Rohl faces injury challenges this weekend and indicated that there would be "two or three changes" to the lineup.
Midfielder Connor Barron and defender Derek Cornelius are progressing well in their recoveries and could return to action in March.
