McGlynn 'understands' McGinn's St Mirren link
John McGlynn and Stephen McGinn were seen attending a match earlier this season.
John McGlynn has expressed that he "understands" why Falkirk coach Stephen McGinn is being linked with the managerial position at St Mirren.
The Paisley-based club is currently seeking a new manager after Stephen Robinson left for Aberdeen last week.
Craig McLeish, serving as coach, managed the team during Sunday's 1-0 home defeat to Rangers. St Mirren's next Scottish Premiership match is against Falkirk on Saturday at 15:00 GMT.
Stephen McGinn, aged 37, began his playing career with the Buddies and later returned for a second spell. He also coached the club's under-18 team before joining McGlynn's coaching staff at Falkirk last year.
"There's obviously a connection that Stephen has been there as a player, he's probably a legend there," said manager McGlynn.

"He went back in a coaching role when he finished playing here and he obviously knows Craig McLeish very, very well, so you can understand the connection.
"Stephen has not given us any indication that that's on the agenda or not.
"Because of the connection between the club and his status at that particular club, then it's easy to put two and two together and come up with whatever, so I can totally understand it.
"That's the first thing I thought of when Stephen Robinson went away but there's been nothing materialised, so there's no substance to give it a great deal of merit, time, whatever, because there's not been any contact."
Falkirk want top-six place 'done and dusted'
Falkirk are close to securing their first-ever top-six finish in the Premiership. With three games remaining before the league split, the Bairns hold a nine-point lead over seventh-placed Dundee United and have a goal difference advantage of 10.
"We still want to go and do the job on Saturday," McGlynn said.
"If we get that 45-point marker, which we targeted, that's it done and dusted, and if we win on Saturday, we get to 46.
"We've got three games and we obviously want to get that as soon as possible, regardless of top six, bottom six, or anything.
"And, of course, if we can do that, Hibs are travelling to Motherwell and all of a sudden we're chasing Hibs.
"We're only one point behind them if the results go for us at the weekend and we take care of our own job."
