Woman Arrested in Connection with Lisa Dorrian Murder Case

Arrest Made in Lisa Dorrian Murder Investigation

An arrest has been made in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance and murder of 25-year-old Lisa Dorrian.

A 40-year-old woman was taken into custody in Bangor, County Down on Wednesday, suspected of murder, assisting offenders, withholding information, and preventing a lawful and decent burial.

Lisa Dorrian was last seen alive at 05:00 GMT on 28 February 2005 after attending a house party at a caravan park in the County Down village of Ballyhalbert.

The woman remains in police custody, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

PSNI Det Ch Insp Kerrie Foreman said: "The arrest comes just days before the 21st anniversary of Lisa's disappearance and murder."

Authorities believe Lisa was murdered on the night of 27 February 2005 or in the early hours of 28 February 2005.

"We remain determined to provide justice for Lisa's family," Foreman added.

The PSNI has issued an appeal for anyone with information related to the case to come forward and contact them.
