The rapper formerly known as Kanye West, legally named Ye, has been banned from entering the United Kingdom, the Home Office has announced.

West's visa to enter and perform in the UK has been withdrawn by the department. He was scheduled to perform at a London event in July.

Controversies Surrounding Ye

Ye has faced significant criticism for making antisemitic remarks, including expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler. In the previous year, he released a song titled Heil Hitler, following the promotion of a swastika T-shirt on his website several months earlier.

Public Apology

In January, West took out a full-page advertisement in the Wall Street Journal in which he apologized for his antisemitic behavior. He attributed his inflammatory actions to his bipolar disorder.
