Two youths have been charged following an alleged assault on a bus driver by a gang at a hospital.

Police Scotland responded to a disturbance reported at approximately 19:00 on Sunday at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

The 53-year-old bus driver was assessed at the hospital after the incident.

Response from Lothian Buses and Police

Lothian Buses confirmed that one of their drivers was involved and stated they were cooperating with police inquiries.

Detectives indicated that the investigation into the incident remains ongoing and that two youths will be reported to the relevant authorities.
