Teenagers Cleared of Murder in Glasgow Sword Attack
Two teenagers have been acquitted of murdering a 15-year-old boy who was fatally stabbed through the heart with a sword in Glasgow.
Amen Teklay died following an altercation involving two boys, aged 14 and 15 at the time, in the St George's Cross area in March 2025.
A jury at the High Court in Glasgow found both teenagers not guilty of murder. The boys, now aged 16 and 17, remain unnamed due to their ages.
The younger teenager stated that both he and Amen were armed with swords and claimed he stabbed Amen in self-defence. The older boy testified that he was standing at a distance and did not assault Amen.
