Car Crash on Black Isle

Police are seeking information following a serious car accident involving a 17-year-old driver on the Black Isle near Inverness.

The incident occurred when a black Lexus was discovered in a field adjacent to the A832 road, approximately one mile east of Tore, at around 21:40 on Sunday.

The teenager involved was transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for medical treatment.

The road at the crash site was closed for nearly 10 hours to facilitate an investigation but has since reopened.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Sgt Neil MacDonald has issued a request for any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage to come forward to assist with the investigation.

Additional Road Closure on A82

Separately, the A82 has been closed in both directions three miles north of the junction with the A86 at Spean Bridge following another crash.

Emergency services were notified of this incident at approximately 12:05.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
