Six Arrested Over Suspected Illegal Employment in West Wales Restaurants

Authorities have arrested six individuals suspected of working illegally at two well-known Italian restaurants in West Wales.

Four arrests were made at Florentino's restaurant in Carmarthen, with two others detained at the company's branch in Tenby.

The Home Office stated that immigration enforcement officers conducted visits following receipt of intelligence.

According to the Home Office, three of the six individuals have already returned to their home countries, and another is in the process of returning.

Of the remaining two, one has been released on bail while investigations continue, and the last has been released with a warning.

Work is now ongoing to determine who is responsible for employing these individuals.

"Employers who break the law can face fines of up to £60,000 per worker," said the Home Office.
