Right-Wing YouTuber Detained at Edinburgh Airport
Craig Houston, a Glasgow-based video blogger who identifies as an investigative journalist, was detained and questioned by police at Edinburgh Airport under anti-terror legislation.
The 53-year-old was reportedly returning from a holiday in Greece when he was stopped by authorities. Houston operates a video channel where he discusses political topics, including immigration, and describes himself as a member of Restore Britain.
Although Houston has not been arrested or charged, Police Scotland confirmed that his electronic devices were seized during the stop.
"On Friday 10 July, a 53-year-old man was stopped using powers under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 at Edinburgh Airport," a Police Scotland spokesperson said.
"He was interviewed and digital devices were seized for further examination."
Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 allows officers to stop and question individuals to determine whether they are involved in the commission, preparation, or instigation of terrorist acts.
Houston's Political Activities and Social Media Presence
In May, Houston shared on social media a photograph of a letter purportedly from Restore Britain leader Rupert Lowe, confirming his membership in the party.
He has also drawn attention to what he describes as a "migrant tent camp" located in a park in Glasgow.

There have been a series of protests in Glasgow recently.
In his latest video, recorded from Greece, Houston discussed recent demonstrations occurring in various parts of Glasgow. He stated that he had predicted such protests a year prior and provided his own analysis while showing footage of the events.
Additionally, he shared a video depicting men dressed entirely in black holding a vigil in memory of Kriss Donald, a white teenager who was murdered in 2004.
Police Response to Recent Protests
Police recently issued a warning regarding hate crime following a demonstration outside a residence in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow, during which windows were reportedly smashed.
A senior police officer later stated that the occupant of the property was an "innocent member of the public."
Other protests have taken place in the Cranhill and Royston areas, with mounted police attending a demonstration held in the Springburn area on a recent Friday.
