Prince William Visits Cornwall for St Piran's Day
Prince William has arrived in Cornwall to commemorate St Piran's Day and engage with communities impacted by Storm Goretti.

The Duke of Cornwall began his visit at Gear Farm Pasty Company, an award-winning family-run farm and bakery, where he participated in making pasties and served them to customers.

Engagement with Emergency Teams
Following his time at Gear Farm, the prince is scheduled to meet with emergency personnel at Helston Community Fire Station. These teams played a crucial role in assisting those affected by the storm, which caused considerable disruption in January.

Significance of St Piran's Day
His visit coincides with St Piran's Day, recognized widely as Cornwall's national day.
Comments from Gear Farm Founder
David Webb, founder of Gear Farm, expressed the farm's pride in hosting the royal visitor.
"Everyone wants a pasty on St Piran's Day and the fact that Prince William wants a pasty as well - that's just amazing.
We are going to make some pasties and mark him out of 10 but whether we offer him a job, we will see."
Webb also described the impact of Storm Goretti on the farm.
"I thought it was going to be weeks before we were open - but, in no time at all the whole community came together," he said.
People came out with chainsaws, tractors and it was fantastic to see and great to be a part of."

Prince William is known as the Duke of Cornwall while in the county.
