Investigation into Burglaries at Castlederg Businesses

The police are currently examining a potential connection between two burglaries that occurred at commercial properties in Castlederg, County Tyrone.

The incidents took place between 02:40 and 03:00 GMT on Sunday, targeting businesses located on Carickdartans Road and Drumquin Road.

Details of Stolen Items

At the Carickdartans Road site, items stolen from the yard included grinders, saws, and mechanical spanners. Meanwhile, tools were taken from a van at the premises on Drumquin Road.

Financial Impact and Appeal for Information

The police have noted that both businesses have suffered significant financial losses due to the thefts and have issued a public appeal for information.

"In particular, we're keen to hear from anyone who has noticed any suspicious or unusual activity in recent days in the area," Sgt Lowry of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) stated.

Authorities believe that multiple individuals were involved in carrying out the burglaries.

Lowry added: "Both burglaries have resulted in significant financial impact with the loss of tools and equipment. If you have information which can help identify who was involved in these incidents we would ask that you report it."
