Incident Overview

Police are searching for three armed men following a deliberate attack on a driver in Glasgow. The incident involved multiple collisions between two vehicles on the slip road off the M74 at Polmadie Road shortly after midnight on Saturday.

According to authorities, a dark blue Renault Clio intentionally rammed a silver Nissan Micra at 00:10. The three men inside the Clio, who were armed, exited their vehicle and approached the Micra, causing further damage before fleeing the scene.

Sequence of Events

The Clio continued to follow the Micra, resulting in additional intentional collisions along Polmadie Road and Aikenhead Road. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

Police Investigation

Police Scotland confirmed that investigations are ongoing to locate the Clio and the suspects involved. Detective Inspector Stephen Greenshields emphasized the targeted nature of the attack and urged the public to assist with information.

"We believe this was a targeted attack on the Micra driver and I'm appealing to the public for help to trace those responsible.
I'm particularly keen to speak to drivers who were in the area around the time and may have seen what happened.
I'd also ask those with dashcam, private CCTV or doorbell footage around Polmadie Road and Aikenhead Road, to review this for anything which may assist our inquiries."
