Petrol bombs were thrown at a property in Ballymena, County Antrim, in an arson attack, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

The PSNI reported receiving a call at approximately 03:05 GMT on Saturday, indicating that two suspected petrol bombs had been thrown at a ground-floor flat located in the Drumtara area.

Emergency Response and Impact

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident alongside the police.

One individual was present in the flat during the attack but was not physically harmed. However, the PSNI stated:

"This was obviously a shock for them and there was significant damage caused to the interior of their home."

Authorities are currently appealing for any information or witnesses that could assist in the investigation of this arson attack.
