Memorial 5K Run Held for Henry Nowak
Approximately 200 participants dressed in red took part in a 5,000-kilometre run to honor the memory of Henry Nowak, an Arsenal football fan, according to the event's organiser.
Henry Nowak, aged 18 and from Chafford Hundred, Essex, was fatally stabbed while walking home after an evening out in Southampton on 3 December.
His assailant, Vickrum Digwa, received a life sentence with a minimum term of 21 years in June.
The run occurred on Saturday and was coordinated by Mary McLoughlin, 65, a member of the Chafford Hundred Running Club. She remarked on the impact of Henry's death, stating:
"We were really impacted by what happened to Henry, he was a lovable boy."
Hundreds of attendees, including Jen Craft, Member of Parliament for Thurrock, were present at the event.

Mary McLoughlin acknowledged the assistance of Sylvia Merrigan in organising the run, highlighting how it united communities and individuals from diverse faiths and backgrounds.
"I thought it would be a nice thing to support the family to show them that they are in our thoughts and prayers.
We had a lot of help organising this."
She noted that Morrisons supermarket, where Henry had been employed, contributed water and snacks for participants.
"The local Sikh community came out with water, naans and onion bhajis.
The church opened their doors for us to use their toilets and provided toast, tea, coffee and hot chocolate."
McLoughlin described the event as both fantastic and deeply emotional, adding:
"People were pleased to be there to show their support to the family and I think the family were grateful that we were there to show support to them."
The event successfully raised over £600 for 2wish, a charity dedicated to supporting families affected by sudden death among young people.
Mary McLoughlin confirmed that about 200 people attended the event.

Jen Craft, MP for Thurrock, expressed her sentiments about the run:
"It was really lovely, it showed Thurrock at its best."
At the event's commencement, Lucy Ross, Henry Nowak's mother, addressed attendees:
"It's days like this that help the family keep going."
Craft further commented:
"It was a really warm event you saw the best of what our community looked like."
She also mentioned that many of Henry's school friends shared memories and stories about him during the event.
Community Impact and Support
The event highlighted community solidarity and cross-cultural support in response to the tragic loss. Contributions from local groups and businesses underscored the collective effort to honor Henry's memory and support his family.
