Man in 70s Dies After Cattle Attack at Felbrigg Hall National Trust Site

A man in his 70s died after being seriously injured by cattle at Felbrigg Hall, a National Trust property near Cromer. Emergency services responded promptly, but the man died at the scene. An investigation is ongoing with Norfolk Police and the Health and Safety Executive.

Incident at Felbrigg Hall

A man has died following serious injuries sustained from an encounter with cattle while visiting a National Trust property.

Emergency services responded to Felbrigg Hall, located near Cromer, at approximately 11:45 BST, according to Norfolk Police.

"Despite efforts to save him, a man in his 70s sadly died at the scene,"

a spokesperson for the force said.

"His next of kin have been informed. Officers are investigating alongside colleagues from the Health and Safety Executive."

A National Trust spokesperson provided a statement regarding the incident.

"A member of the public was seriously injured while walking" and "despite the efforts of the paramedics" died at the scene.

"We are shocked and deeply saddened by this news, and our thoughts and condolences are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time,"

they added.

About Felbrigg Hall

Felbrigg Hall was donated to the conservation charity in 1969. The estate includes a lake and 211 hectares (520 acres) of woodland.

The property has been closed for the day, as noted on its official website.

Ongoing Investigation

Norfolk Police officers are conducting an investigation in collaboration with the Health and Safety Executive. The Health and Safety Executive has been contacted for comment.
