Fatal Collision in Tranent

A 55-year-old man has died following a collision between his vehicle and a parked car in Tranent, East Lothian.

The crash involved a white Vauxhall Vivaro and a stationary blue Citroen C3, occurring at approximately 12:05 on Tuesday along the A199 Haddington Road.

Emergency services responded promptly, and the driver of the Vauxhall was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he subsequently passed away.

The road was closed to facilitate a police investigation and was fully reopened around 15:30. Authorities have requested that anyone with information about the incident come forward.

Police confirmed that no other individuals sustained injuries in the crash.
