Man Denies Threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

A man has denied threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor during an alleged incident near his residence on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

Alex Jenkinson, 39, who has no fixed address, faces two charges of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour intended to harass or cause alarm or distress.

One charge pertains to an alleged event on Wednesday in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, where Jenkinson is accused of threatening the former Duke of York. The second charge involves an accusation of threatening another individual, Stephen Terry, the previous day. Jenkinson has denied both allegations.

Mountbatten-Windsor is anticipated to provide testimony during the trial.

Jenkinson pleaded guilty to failing to provide a blood specimen while in custody.

A trial date has been scheduled for 29 July at Westminster Magistrates' Court, and Jenkinson has been granted conditional bail.

On Friday, the prosecution requested the court to allow Mountbatten-Windsor to give evidence remotely from King Lynn Magistrates' Court. The chief magistrate approved this request but suggested it might be preferable for Mountbatten-Windsor to testify from a location other than a court.

Details of the Incident and Background

Norfolk Police reported that a man was arrested on Wednesday following a report of intimidating behaviour in Wolferton.

The incident occurred near Marsh Farm, a property on the Sandringham Estate where Mountbatten-Windsor relocated after leaving Royal Lodge in Windsor. This move followed his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Last year, Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped by the King of his royal titles, including his right to be a prince and his dukedom, due to his links with Epstein.

Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
