A man has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder after the death of a 74-year-old man in Torfaen.

Gwent Police reported that officers responded to a property on Bythway Road, Trevethin, at approximately 16:55 BST on Thursday, following reports of a man with serious injuries.

The deceased was identified as Nicholas "Brian" Parfitt, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A 34-year-old man from Cwmbran has been arrested in connection with the incident.
