Man Pleads Guilty to Possessing Multiple Weapons

A man has admitted to possessing an air rifle, a samurai sword, a knuckle duster, and four telescopic truncheons.

Maximin Carter, 51, from Neath Port Talbot, was initially arrested on suspicion of attempting to manufacture an explosive device after police responded to a property on Commercial Street, Abergwynfi, on 14 February.

Authorities reported that residents were evacuated from their homes as a precautionary measure and that a "significant" number of weapons were discovered at the scene.

Carter entered a guilty plea at Swansea Crown Court to charges including possession of a banned weapon under the Firearms Act 1968 and six counts of possessing offensive weapons. He has been remanded in custody at Swansea Prison and is scheduled for sentencing on 7 April.
