Four Teenagers Arrested Following Fatal Stabbing of 16-Year-Old
Four teenagers have been taken into custody after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed and subsequently died in hospital.
Cambridgeshire Police reported that they received a call just before 19:00 BST on Sunday regarding an attack on a teenager in Riseholme, near the Ortongate Shopping Centre in Peterborough.
Investigators believe the stabbing was a targeted incident. St John's Church School announced its closure due to "a serious incident" occurring near its premises.
A 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, both residents of Peterborough, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Additionally, two girls aged 16 and 17 have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The 16-year-old girl, from March, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article. All four teenagers remain in police custody.
In an email obtained by the BBC, St John's Church School in Peterborough stated that "police are currently processing a site in close proximity to the school," which prompted the decision to close.
An image showed a large police presence near the Ortongate Shopping Centre on Sunday night, and an area remained cordoned off near the entrance on Riseholme on Monday morning.

A sizeable police cordon remains around the shopping centre and will be maintained alongside an increased police presence in the coming days.
Some flowers have been placed next to the cordon.

The school indicated it would "continue to monitor the situation" and provide updates to parents and carers regarding reopening plans.
The shopping centre remains open as usual, although the rear car park is closed.
Police Statement and Community Appeal
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Stott, from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Major Crime Unit, said:
"This is a tragic incident which has resulted in the death of a young man, and we are in contact with his family and keeping them updated.
While we understand the death will be concerning for local people, we do not believe this was a random attack and there will be a significant police presence in the area over coming days."
Authorities have urged anyone with information or home CCTV footage to contact the police.
