Re-Arrest of Former Scotland Rugby Captain Stuart Hogg
Former Scotland rugby captain Stuart Hogg has been re-arrested following a complaint alleging that he breached a non-harassment order related to his ex-wife.
The 33-year-old athlete was previously sentenced to a community payback order after pleading guilty in 2024 to a domestic abuse charge.
According to the Scottish Sun, Hogg has been accused of discussing personal matters on a co-parenting phone application, which violated an order restricting his contact with his ex-wife, Gillian, to issues concerning their children only.
Police Scotland confirmed that a 33-year-old man was arrested on 12 February in the Hawick area of the Scottish Borders and subsequently released without charge.
Background on Stuart Hogg's Conviction and Restrictions
The former Hawick and Glasgow Warriors player, who earned 100 caps for Scotland, was convicted in 2024 of a single domestic abuse charge and received a one-year community payback order as a result.

During proceedings at Selkirk Sheriff Court, it was revealed that Hogg had frequently shouted and sworn at his wife Gillian, tracked her movements, and sent distressing messages over a five-year period.
Additionally, a five-year non-harassment order was imposed on Hogg, and he was fined £600 for breaching bail conditions by contacting his wife.
Details of the Latest Arrest and Police Statement
The Scottish Sun, which initially reported the recent arrest, stated that Hogg was stopped by police at Manchester Airport last month while returning from France, where he currently plays for Montpellier.
He was instructed to report to a police station in his hometown of Hawick, where he was interviewed and later released without charge.
Hogg remains one of Scotland's all-time leading try scorers.
Stripping of MBE Honour
Earlier in the month, it was revealed that Hogg had been stripped of the MBE he was awarded in the 2024 New Year honours list for his services to rugby.
