Fife Man Dies After Shooting Incident in Caribbean
Daniel Vettrino, a 37-year-old man from Dysart, Fife, has died after being shot multiple times on the island of Canouan in St Vincent and the Grenadines, according to local police reports.
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force responded to reports of gunfire in the Gym Hill area at approximately 23:30 on Wednesday. Following the incident, Vettrino was pronounced dead by a local medical officer.
Authorities have announced that a post-mortem examination will be conducted and an investigation into the shooting has been initiated.

A family member described Vettrino as:
"much loved by everyone" and "a pure soul who only wanted success and happiness for all of those around him".
They added:
"He has touched the lives of so many people, from his hometown in Fife to all corners of this world."
A spokesperson for the Foreign Office stated:
"We are supporting the family of a British national who died in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and we are in contact with the local authorities."
