Vandalism of Councillor's Ferrari During Election Count
A Ferrari owned by Kamran Ghafoor, leader of The Oldham Group and councillor for Hollinwood in Oldham, had its windscreen smashed by vandals outside an election count in Greater Manchester.
Ghafoor reported that the vehicle also sustained a dented bumper while he was attending the vote count in the town. He had parked the car on Union Street and discovered the damage at approximately 02:00 BST.
"The Oldham Group said it believed the incident was targeted."

Police and Council Response
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that officers attended the scene but no arrests have been made to date. Oldham Council stated it is currently analysing CCTV footage related to the incident.
Context of the Incident
This event occurred amid local elections where thousands of seats were contested across 136 councils nationwide, including all 10 borough councils in Greater Manchester.
Related Incident Involving Ghafoor
The vandalism comes just under two months after a building on King Street in Oldham, owned by KKS Investors—a company comprising Kamran Ghafoor and colleague Sameer Zulqurnain—collapsed, resulting in five people being injured.
At the time, Ghafoor stated that the work being carried out on the property had been
"overseen in consultation with building control"and that official investigations into the collapse were being fully cooperated with.
