Man Identified Following Fatal Collision at Edinburgh Supermarket

Police have named the man who died after being struck by a vehicle outside a supermarket in Edinburgh.

Bill Hepburn succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident involving a blue Volkswagen Polo in the Tesco Extra car park located on Meadow Place Road, Corstorphine, on Wednesday.

Family Statement and Police Appeal

In a statement, Mr. Hepburn's family expressed their sorrow, describing the 66-year-old as a "loving husband and father" and stating they were "heartbroken" by the loss.

Police Scotland have urged anyone who witnessed the event and has not yet contacted officers to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Sgt Paul Ewing commented on the case, saying:

"Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Bill and inquiries continue to establish the full circumstances."
