Driver Acquitted of Attempted Murder Charges

A man accused of attempting to kill three children in his car by deliberately driving into oncoming traffic has been found not guilty of attempted murder.

Tancredo Bankhardt, 41, was driving a Vauxhall Astra involved in a multi-vehicle collision on the A146 near Loddon, Norfolk, in September 2025.

During the trial at Norwich Crown Court, the jury heard that Bankhardt had ensured the children in his car were not wearing seatbelts.
