Child Dies After Dog Attack in Dormanstown
A child is believed to have died after being bitten by a dog, according to police.
Cleveland Police responded to an address on Hardale Grove, Dormanstown, Redcar, shortly after 13:30 BST following reports expressing concern for a child.
Upon arrival, officers found the child deceased. The force stated the death was believed to have resulted from a dog bite.
One dog was destroyed on the street, and another dog located at the property was seized by authorities.
The BBC has requested further information from police regarding the child's age and the breeds of the dogs involved.

District commander for Redcar and Cleveland, Emily Harrison, confirmed that officers remain at the scene as the investigation continues.
"Understandably this is a distressing and tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the child's family," Harrison said.
"I would encourage anyone who has concerns or information to please speak to an officer."
