Public Advised to Avoid Ward Park Following Munition Discovery
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have requested that members of the public avoid the Ward Park area in Bangor, County Down, after a suspected historic munition was discovered.
The PSNI stated they are currently in the process of assessing the object to determine its nature and any potential risks involved.
"We appreciate this may cause some disruption, however keeping people safe is paramount and we will not take any risks," the PSNI said.
Authorities have emphasized the importance of safety and have asked for patience from those affected as they continue their work to ensure public safety.
