Fatal Shooting Near Euston Station

A 26-year-old man was fatally shot while seated in a car near London's Euston station on Saturday night.

According to police, CCTV footage revealed the victim was shot multiple times by a suspect who arrived and departed the scene on a bicycle.

The incident occurred on Chalton Street in north London, where paramedics attempted to save the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation and Police Response

Detectives have launched a murder investigation, and no arrests have been made to date.

The victim was inside a white Nissan Juke when the attack took place. Police were called to the location at approximately 22:30 BST.

The victim's next of kin have been informed of the incident.

A police cordon remains in place around the scene, which is in close proximity to Kings Cross and St Pancras stations as well as the British Library.

Local Witness Accounts

A local worker on Chalton Street, who wished to be identified only as Shamim, reported that a colleague heard the gunshots.

"My colleague told me there was a big bang. A loud bang a few times."

He also noted that patrons from the nearby pub, The Cock Tavern, came outside to investigate the noise.

"Chalton Street has always had a bad record about this... a lot of violence. A lot of residents don't feel safe any more," Shamim said.
"There are big numbers of residents in this area, we need to have more police."
