Fatal Crash in Gwynedd

A 20-year-old man has died following a car accident in Gwynedd on Saturday night.

Three other individuals sustained serious injuries in the collision, which occurred on the A499 near Pwllheli, between Llanaelhearn and Y Ffôr.

Details of the Incident

The crash took place at approximately 22:10 BST and involved a black Ford Fiesta and a red Audi A3.

All three seriously injured persons remain hospitalized.

The road was closed overnight to facilitate police investigations.

Police Statement

North Wales Police lead investigating officer, Sgt Duncan Logan, expressed his condolences and gratitude.

"I would like to personally thank all those who stopped to assist at the scene and support emergency services."

"I am urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have been travelling or walking in the vicinity and has mobile or dash-cam footage, to come forward as soon as possible."

Emergency Response

The Welsh Ambulance Service reported that two patients were transported to hospital by air ambulance and one by road ambulance, where they remain under care.
