14-Year-Old Charged with Murder in Battersea Teen Stabbing

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of 17-year-old Jamal Coombes, who was stabbed in Battersea, south-west London. Two other teens have been released on bail, while another remains in custody.

Teen Murder Charge in Battersea

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a 17-year-old teenager who was fatally stabbed in Battersea, located in south-west London.

Jamal Coombes, aged 17, was discovered with fatal injuries after emergency services responded to Glycena Road at approximately 04:20 BST on Saturday.

The 14-year-old suspect, who is from Wandsworth and cannot be named due to legal restrictions, appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court on Monday. He faces charges of murder and possession of a bladed article, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Additionally, two 15-year-olds—a boy and a girl—who were initially arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail. Another 15-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody.
