US and Israeli Strikes on Iran
The United States and Israel have conducted attacks on Iran, targeting various locations throughout the country. Among the sites struck is the office of Iran's Supreme Leader, located in Tehran, as well as multiple military facilities across Iran.
In response, Iran has launched retaliatory strikes against Israeli and US bases in the region.
Several verified videos from Tehran depict large plumes of smoke rising above the capital city.
BBC Verify has acquired satellite imagery captured over Tehran this morning, revealing significant damage to part of the Leadership House compound, which serves as the office of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The high-resolution image, taken by Airbus, shows blackened buildings, debris, and a column of smoke emanating from the site.
The location corresponds with verified footage filmed in Tehran earlier today, showing the aftermath of explosions in the area.
Additional images indicate that the Narmak neighbourhood, where former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad resides, has also been struck.
Another strike targeted the vicinity of the Ministry of Intelligence.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that its strikes in Tehran focused on locations where senior political and security officials were gathered.

Strikes Across Iran
Reports indicate that strikes have occurred in other parts of Iran as well.
Military installations have been targeted in cities including Kermanshah, Qom, Isfahan, Tabriz, and Karaj, as well as Iranian naval facilities in Kenarak, located in the southern region of the country.
A video sent to the BBC from the small city of Kamyaran shows an IRGC base that was bombed.
The IDF has issued warnings to Iranian civilians to evacuate areas near military sites and installations prior to the strikes.

Iran's Retaliation
In retaliation, Iran has launched strikes on Israeli and US bases across the region. Explosions have been reported in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Kuwait.
The UAE's state news agency reported that one person was killed after Iranian missiles were intercepted.
Bahrain's National Communication Centre stated that the service centre of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet was "subjected to a missile attack." This fleet is responsible for operations across the Gulf, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and parts of the Indian Ocean.
In Bahrain, verified footage filmed from a moving vehicle captures the moment a missile struck, followed by an explosion that sent fragments and debris into the air.
Additional verified videos from Bahrain show dark plumes of smoke rising as sirens sound throughout the city.
The spokesperson for Kuwait's Ministry of Defence posted on X that the Ali Al-Salem airbase was targeted by several ballistic missiles, but Kuwaiti air defence forces successfully intercepted them.
Jordan, which shares a border with Israel, reported that its armed forces shot down two ballistic missiles aimed at its territory. An official told the AFP news agency that there were no casualties, only material damage.
