Public Mourning in Tehran

The streets of Tehran have been filled with large crowds as Iran continues its public mourning for the late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Khamenei was killed at the start of the US-Israel war in February this year.

The funeral procession passed through the capital's landmark Enghelab Square, where mourners held up Iranian flags and red banners symbolizing martyrdom and vengeance.
