Iranian Forces Strike US Naval Base in Bahrain

Iranian forces have announced strikes on a US naval base in Bahrain as part of a broader retaliation against what they describe as a "massive" and ongoing offensive by the US and Israel. Large plumes of black smoke were observed near the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of the damage remains unclear, and the US has not issued any comment regarding the incident.

Missile Explosions Reported Across the Region

Explosions have also been reported in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait, all of which host US military installations. In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry stated it intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American military base in the region.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps released a statement confirming the launch of the retaliatory operation named "Truthful Promise 4," aimed at US assets throughout the region.

Responses from Bahrain and Israel

Bahrain's state news agency confirmed the attack on the US base and later reported successful interception of several missiles entering its airspace. In Israel, sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military detected an incoming missile barrage attributed to Iran.

United Arab Emirates Reports Missile Attacks

The UAE's defence ministry issued a statement describing the country as having been subjected to "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles."

"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a number of missiles,"

the statement added. Debris from the intercepted missiles fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing material damage and resulting in the death of a civilian.

The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, located south of Abu Dhabi, alongside the UAE Air Force.
