Authorities Warn Against Visiting Nefyn Beach Following Landslide

Authorities have advised the public to avoid a beach in north Wales after a landslide occurred.

North Wales Police reported that the incident took place near the car park at Nefyn beach, Gwynedd, and urged visitors to

"stay well away"
from the affected area due to the possibility of further landslides.

The area was cordoned off on Tuesday afternoon as a precautionary measure.

The police also stated that the Coastguard and the local council would be conducting an urgent assessment of the situation.

Previous Landslip Impact on Nearby Properties and Pathways

In December, a landslip near the beachfront properties caused significant damage, including the collapse of floors in some buildings.

Additionally, a path connecting Nefyn with Morfa Nefyn was closed after a substantial section was lost during last year's landslip.
